I had a horse something like that, part arab, he was perfect in an arena and a great show horse, very agile and talented. I won many championships with him, but he was the spookiest horse I ever rode out on the trail. That's how I got him, he had dumped so many riders on the trail that he was unsafe to ride out alone. I did ride him out but he was so very spooky you had to be on guard the whole time.
If you want a trail horse, he is not the one for you. Maybe you could find someone who just wants to ride in an arena and show etc. He would be good for them and they would be happy with a horse like that. Just be sure they know he is not good to trail ride.

We have a horse at the lesson barn that goes berserk when tied. Doesn't matter how or to what. He's been taught to stand when the lead is dropped. He'll try all the new kids but as long as they tap him on the shoulder and say stand then he will if they mean it. Lease to buy sounds like a good option if you find someone that wants an arena horse and you have a waiver.

Is there any basic waiver forms online you can download and add to? Or any site that explains what to all cover and how to word it? If you are leasing out the horse and he gets hurt who is responsible for paying for the vet care?
