That would be nice if I could still ride at 90. If I live that long.
I intend to ride until I can't do it without breaking a hip. I hope it's a long way off.

I wish I could stop Vida from aging. That way she could be my horse when I'm really old. She is truly my dream horse and is so good to me.
Fortunately her foal Saro is very much like her so maybe when she's older she will be it.

Breed-Rocky Mountain horse
Age- 10
Height- 14.3-15
Gender- Mare
Color- Black/bay
Disposition- easy going but can also get up and go when asked
Ability- sure footed, all around great trail horse, brave and intelligent
Maintenance- Easy. good feet

i also hope my last horse is when im 90 :). did anyone ever see the show american cowgirl? i think one of the ladies on there was over 100 if im thinking right...and she cantered and all :)

i would love for my last horse to be a nice broke paint. very flashy and excellent ground manners. but at the same time, a funny personality to keep me on my toes and feeling young.

Last horse?

Well when I'm REALLY (like 100) old I probably won't be able to ride anymore, so I'd like an oldie like me. Don't care what breed, just someone who wants to be brushed and hand grazed. I'll probably crawl up there once in awhile... probably get stuck though. It'll either be a horse I bought 20 years ago or I'll go to the rescue and pick the oldest horse there that needs some love. We can spend our days sitting in the sun, I'll read a book and he/she'll graze next to me. I'll have my old dog with me and my old cat sitting on my lap. We'll probably all just fall asleep and wake up sun burned and confused

I don't want a young animal when I'm old... Just worry about who's gonna take care of them when I'm gone. Too many animals get forgotten.

But if you're talking about riding horse
Breed: Hrmm.. Don't know too many I really like. Probably a TWH or a Rocky Mtn horse. Something with a nice gait for my body.
Age: 6-10
Gender: Either mare or gelding
Color- Bright chestnut or a blood bay or a dark bay, minimal white
Disposition- Sweet on the ground, brave, and intelligent. Some spirit when ridden, not spooky but with plenty of get-up and go when asked.
Ability- Good trail horse, sure-footed, solid, w/ a good mind
Maintenance- Good feet, medium keeper, and healthy

^ awww i love that image so much. :) I agree, when I'm *really* old I'd love to get a *really* old companion horse that I just brush and spend time with, give love that they deserve being a oldie horsie!

As far as my last riding horse, I think I will always have Paints, just because they are what my family breeds and I love their personality and looks. I'd want a middle aged horse, 10+... A good trail horse, great on the ground, healthy physically and mentally, easy to have (keep barefoot, easy to keep weight on, etc!)... Far as color, I have *always* wanted to own a black and white overo.... with a blue eye but i'm not picky, I love all paints! andddd... I guess thats about it.

Breed: rocky mountain horse..the greatest breed of all ;)
Height: 14.2ish
Gender: gelding
Age: that'll depend on him..however old he has to be to be as calm as necessary for an old lady.
Color: got to have another chocolate flax..
Disposition: intelligent, gentle, calm, sane..the kind of horse that can take care of someone who needs extra care, but that hasn't had the brains beat out of him.
Ability: to carry me around and do some trail. I don't think at that age I'll have any interest in competing in anything or even doing much trail riding, really..I think mostly I'll just want a companion.
