All our mares were bought from a long time Paint breeder down the road. There sole advertising was a small "Foals for Sale" sign on the side of the road, but that was enough to catch my wife's eye....

I've gotten horses various ways over the years. Some have been offered to me or found them via word of mouth. A couple directly from the breeders. Like when I was looking for a haflinger I searched for breeders online and ended up buying a yearling from one. I've gotten some from online ad sites like Craigslist or horse sites like equine now or horse clicks.

All I pay my psychiatrist is cost of feed and hay, and he'll listen to me any day!

Great stories! Keep 'em coming! :) Also, never thought to search online for local breeders. Great idea! Thanks! :)

Consider a mustang. You can find pretty much any size, any color, any style, any age, and any temperament that your heart desires. I sure love the two that I have. They're always impressing me with their intelligence and sensitivity.

I just recently bought another horse! :) I saw him advertised on the internet at dreamhorse.com and horseclicks.com. Also, Equinenow.com is very easy to use. I actually sold a horse on that website last year and I had people interested very quickly! I like using the internet because they aren't just local- I drove about 3 hrs to get our last horse. But also, local feed stores and friends are helpful too! Got a earl this year when our neighbor told us about her. If it's supposed to be, you will meet up some way or another! :):):) Happy shopping!!!
