VTO Saddlery
  • Check their clearance section often.
  • With the default shipping option, they charge a flat fee of $4.99 per order for any order shipped to a U.S. address, regardless of weight, number of items, value of the order, or distance.
Results for horse
  • Great shipping rates
Stateline Tack, Horse.com, SmartPak, Jeffers, etc.

I also always use http://www.retailmenot.com/ to check for promotion codes.

Ebay is where I've gotten most of my stuff since I prefer to buy horse things used when possible. I also joined a couple of tack swap Facebook groups and got good deals. The best one was 2 Easy Boot Epics for $40 with free shipping. I was so excited about that deal LOL!

When I'm buying new it's usually from Amazon or Horse.com , I have looked at Chick's but my friend had a really bad experience with them so I have hesitated to place any orders.

I get a lot of stuff from Ebay. My husband does a lot of tack trading on the FB trading/auction pages. Hubby makes some tack items and we have friends that do the same- that is pretty handy.

For basic stuff Horse.com, Horseloverz.com, SStack and sometimes SmartPak.

For local shopping- IFA, CAL-Ranch and Big R

I DON'T LEAD 'EM AND FEED 'EM, I RIDE 'EM AND SLIDE 'EM.

In town I go to the pawn shops, King's Saddlery, the feed store. Online I first check horsetackco.com. I have gotten two polo saddles off ebay, too.

I've gotten lot of great things off ebay over the years. Have some things I just bought today & yesterday coming soon, & some more auctions I'm watching over the next couple of days. It can be quite addicting, & some sellers go a little nuts w/their shipping charges.

United Vet for supplements, valley vet or horse.com for supplies--I use their magazines and call to order because I don't like buying things online.

TSC for Purina equine sr. and the treats they all like.

Local feed mill for the grain all but my oldster eats

Local tack shops for tack although they are getting fewer and further between.

Thank you verona. I had never heard of sstack.com. I just went there and found a nice saddle that's 40% off. It has the same measurements that the 1 I ride in. It fits the horse perfectly, but doesn't fit me. 15 lbs heavier, so I gotta get in shape before it get's here.

I almost exclusively shop and Scheniders. I've never been disappointed in a single product from them. I buy my supplements from SmartPak and sometimes other items that I happen to need when making an order. Occasionally I'll see something I want from Rods or Dover.

Tack shops in my area are pretty lack-luster, and purchasing online generally ends up being cheaper (with free shipping + no tax). I'll only go to a tack shop if I KNOW they carry what I want and I want to be able to see it/try it on before buying.
