NOW I understand.

There's nothing like the Rockies in the springtime... Nothing like the freedom in the air... And there ain't nothing better than draggin calves to the fire and there's nothing like the smell of burning hair. -Brenn Hill

To answer the OP's earlier question, I'm rooting for Lookin at Lucky because I think he's quite a plucky horse who will give it his all. He's due a good trip, and I like Baffert. Plus, they race in my cross-country colors ;) haha! Highly scientific, eh? The horse's grandsire line is the same as my horse's damsire line, and if he's got half the pluck of my guy - which I certainly think he does - then he's got what it takes.

And now, the men of the Second Armored Division with their famous close-order swanning about.

Oohh I'm going to Churchill Downs tomorrow to watch the horses work. I LOVE Smarty Jones, and he's got Backtalk, but Setsuko is Ocala's first cousin...I think I have a family obligation

Ocala - we will miss you by a day, DD and I are going tomorrow (probably miss the best of the Derby contenders as a lot of them are putting in their last works yesterday/today - her school is doing testing this week, so it's the only day we can go). Have you gone to the Dawn at the Downs before?

Lookin At Lucky! He put in a nice workout yesterday on a sloppy track, looked great and confident through it all. I liked what I saw, I think he'll do well.
When the Derby goes to post I'll be up in the air, but the plane has seatback satellite tv and if it comes down to Lookin At Lucky and American Lion in the final furlongs I'll be screaming on the plane!
Ultimately I'd love for Deans Kitten to win (gotta love a longshot) but I'm definitely thinking it's going to Lookin At Lucky.
