Wild Horse?!

I live in Sandy, Oregon and I ride at a barn although I don't have my own horse. I went riding today and the owner of the barn was staring at a horse in the pasture. I looked at it the horse was a very pale palomino almost white under all the dirt. He looked a little thin and his leg was bleeding. I asked the barn owner about him and she just said he came out of the woods so she put him in the pasture. He looks young around 3 or 4. We called out the vet but before the vet came I had to go home. Is anyone missing a horse like this. He appears to never been handled and jumps at everything. He looks very wild and will not let anyone handle him. Do you think he might somehow be wild?

Make sure no one is looking for him, or you could have legal issues, and make sure he isn't lame.

And he sounds cremello or perlino, not palomino.

He's likely gotten loose and is afraid of unfamiliar territory. A horse with a rider can always find his way home in a heartbeat, but without the rider they always seem to get lost.

It's unlikely he's wild. Wild horses generally run in herds and stay away from people.

It could be that he was someones horse that they have just left in the paddock for years though, or he's just very afraid.

Also Subbing because this is interesting!

Do you have wild horses in your area? There is a few groups of them here where I live but I have only ever seen them when I was riding and had got pretty far away from civilization. One time I stumbled onto a small group with a stallion three mares and a little foal. The foal was a very very pale yellow, what I would call cremello, like the horse you guys found. It was super cute but when we got too close they ran off and crossed the river! All wild horses I have seen in our area are very shy and don't let you get close at all.

I think it would be pretty unlikely that the horse that wandered into your pasture is wild but maybe feral or got loose from some place and is really upset about it. Depending on the type of fence in the pasture he might try to break out and go home, I wouldn't be too surprised if he wasn't there in the morning.
