Wonderful Yard Owners

Been having such an awful day - I injured myself quite badly and couldn't drive myself to the yard to tend to my wonderful gelding. I sent a text to the yard owner, explaining my situation and asking if he could feed him for me. The owner not only fed him and cared for him today, but also sent me some photos of my boy, which made me feel so much better!! Anybody else have wonderful yard owners like this?

I have the opposite situation. I have a wonderful boarder who will take care of my horses when I have an emergency, and I take care of his when he's unable to or out of town. I will say it helps to have a good relationship between the BO and boarder(s).

I board my horses at my parent's place and my sister takes care of them. In turn she gets to ride my gelding any time she wants. It works out well for me and her.

I am glad that you have such a good relationship with your yard owner. Sorry you got hurt, hope you get better soon!
