IDK if you have had a chance to go to the Archdale (N.C.) sale yet, but the prices of their horses actually was up at the last sale. They really didn't have anything that impressive though. It's a pretty good size sale though. You should come check it out. Then, since you will be in the neighborhood you can come by the barn and work with my horse

Is there anyway to find out who bought her ? Just curious , I don't know much about auctions if they would let that kind of info out.

Prices here in PA aren't much better for the auction horses, nice reg. horses were going for $50-$75

Horses and children, I often think, have a lot of the good sense there is in the world.

Was just at a South Dakota horse sale today and prices are the same. You can pick up nice registered stuff for $5-$200. It's pretty sad. I agree with Kevin, open up some of the slaughter houses again. Even if they aren't open here, I know of buyers coming down from Canada and taking semi loads of them back with them, so they are still going to slaughter despite it not being aloud here.

THOSE PRICES -- MAN! I would most likely have gotten myself into trouble had I been there! I can't believe the $50 price tag -- unreal!

hmmm...note to self: go to auction. I need a horse for my boyfriend to ride...my horse hates being ridden by him for some reason

There is no such thing as natural horsemanship, because nothing we do with horses is natural. There is only good and bad horsemanship.
