Wow, what a year and a half! (Update)

I haven't updated in this forum for a very long time, a year and a half to be precise!

I stopped riding for a year as I had entered year 11, and gave my horse a year off in the paddock. Mum said I had that year to figure out what I wanted to do, as we couldn't afford to keep Joe as a pet and he didn't deserve that.

That year finished quickly, and I made the hard choice to sell my boy, and that was that. We have spent 6 months trying to find him the perfect owner and Mum thought she had found her.

She was a much bigger lady and kind as can be, but wasn't interested in show-jumping, something Joe thrived in. The lady also had very hard hands and was constantly pulling at his mouth, something that I had told her before-hand not to do.

I was concerned about how his back would hold up as in working season he was always sore which was constanstly having to be fixed by an amazing Chrio. She decided to trial him for about two weeks in the same agistment, and I cried my eyes out thinking I had just made the worst choice in the world.

2 weeks later (which seemed like 2 years) she called and said that he wasn't right, and she needed something with more education, and honestly I was happy as larry!

We also got a call from the real estate agent saying that the offer we made on my Nanna and Pops 88 acre farm had been accepted. (They couldn't make the payments, and the bank wanted to force them out) Mum then dropped the bombshell saying that we could keep Joe on our own land, and Nan and Pop would look after him untill I finished my last year of school.

So yeah, from nearly making the worst decision in my life, to keeping my horse and saving my Nanna and Pops farm, its been a hell of a year and a half since I've been gone!!

What have you guys been up to?!
