A year ago, today :)

My horses came home to live on our property :)

It's been, hands down, the best year of my life.

There is always something to do or a horse to go brush. It's great looking out my bedroom window and seeing them eating hay in their field.

If I could go back and do it all over again, it would be the exact same... and I wouldn't have it any other way :)

Congrats! That's awesome. :) A year ago I was given my first horse for my birthday- it's weird looking back and seeing how fast the year has gone!

I hope you and your trio have many more happy days. :)

That is so awesome! I wish my horses could live right outside my house. You are very lucky!

That is awesome. So many times I'll hear people complain about having horses home and the work, it's nice to see someone that realizes how lucky they are to be able to have to do that work. I absolutely cannot wait for the day my horses come to be in my backyard!

passion is when you put more energy into something than is required to do it. it is more than just enthusiasm or excitement, passion is ambition that is materialized into action to put as much heart, mind, body and soul into something as is possible. // <3 starlite - dream - lady - georgia

That's great MyBeau! I would give anything to beable to keep my fellow at home - I really want to have property where I can keep 10 horses total, with a barn, pasture's, and an Outdoor arena that can convert to an Indoor in the winter.

I would LOVE to have Nelson at home with me, you're very lucky!

Its awesome having them at home with you isnt it? We have had our own place for almost two years now & I dont have any regrets either. I thank god every day for how blessed we are.

Thanks everyone! I really hope you all get the opportunity to have your horse on your property at some point, it's unlike any other. You get to know them so so well. I thought I knew Beau when he was boarded... nope, not like this.

kmdstar, the only time in the past year that I thought "man, I wish I still boarded" was this past February when we had 2 blizzards in 5 days and had 39" of snow. We couldn't even open our gates, let alone push the wheelbarrow down to the manure pile - but seeing them play in the snow made it worth it ;)

MIE, if you ever buy property, get more than you think you'll need. Of course, that may lead to "empty stall syndrome" but it's always good to have options. All of our stalls are full and every now and then I'll see a cute older horse for $50 on craigslist and I wish I could help them SO much, but we're full :(
