* When you go out in freezing weather to go ride your horse.
* When the only thing you want to do on time off is see your horse.

You know you love your horse when you get back on after he dumps you 600 times in a row!

You know you love your horse when you dread taking a shower after you visit the farm because his smell gets washed away.

You know you love your horse when you trek to the farm in 8 degree weather with 40 mile an hour winds just to spend time with him.

You know you love your horse when your significant other is jealous of him and complains about you spending more time with your horse than him.

You know you love your horse when.... It's -25 deg F out (plus a 20 MPH wind out of the north) and you're carrying 2 buckets of hot water down a 2 block long icy covered slope..and you're going to go back 3 more times.

when... his/her needs are more important then your wants. I.e. It's below zero and you're trimming hooves instead of riding.

You know you love your horse:

When you don't want to find a new bf because you would have to spend time with him and not your horse.

When you bf breaks up with you and the first thing you do is run to the barn to cry on that soft spot under his mane.

When you are grossed out completely but more than happy to pick the ticks out of his butt and between his legs.

When you make sure that he has his hay before you even think about dinner for yourself.

When you are in covered in muck and mud and snot and spit and are in complete bliss because you got to ride.

More thought goes in to his feet than your entire health routine.

You can see a picture of just his butt and go "AWW!"

When you spend more time making sure he is clean and happy than actually riding him.

Ω Horses are a projection of peoples dreams Ω

You know you love your horse when you spend $200+ on a rug for him, only to find out he has grown since last month when you measured him.

You know you love your horse when instead of getting prom photos with your parents, you trek down to your horse's paddock and get photos with him.

You know you love your horse when you camp for 2 weeks at a National show even though he has no hopes of winning.

You know you love your horse when you give up all of your wages, just so he can have the best rugs and tack.

You know you love your horse when you put him down, because you don't want him to suffer :( :( :(

You know you love your horse when you go out at half 2 in the morning to check the water hasn't frozen. [When i stay at my friend's [i keep Doug on her land] we go out in the middle of the night to just chill with the ponies.]

You know you love your horse when even after he has been the biggest, most horriblest brat you still give him a hug when you say goodbye.

You know you love your horse when you go out in thunder, lightning, torrential rain and gale force winds to check he's ok...only to find him grazing boredly, obvlivious to what seems like the end of the world.

You know you love your horse when you give him your last biscuit.

You know you love your horse when you refuse to give up.

You know you love your horse when...

You sell your most prized Louis Vuitton bag to buy what he needs

You run the car on fumes to pay another vet bill

You pass on all family parties to spend New Year's Eve in the barn, just to kiss him at midnight

You give up your lunch hour every day to drive to the barn from the office and only have 10 minutes before you have to drive back, just to give him lunch time treats!

You risk your life driving through blizzards to check on him

you know you love your horse when

you think about him more then your boyfriend

you spend more time with him then your own family, friends or boyfriend

you drive out every single day regardless of the snow storms almost daily to take care of him

you defend him when people say mean things about him

all your hard earned cash (from working 2 jobs) go straight to him, then gas to see him daily, then whatever you personally need
