Favourite breed
The best horses I've ridden have been cross breeds - the Welsh x TB and the Irish Draught x TB top the list though I did have a lovely Arabian x Connemara

To ride
As above

At present I'd rather like a Dun or buckskin

Just winging it is not a plan

1. Morgan
2. Morgan (why have a favorite breed if not to ride it?)
3. Grulla (but luckily bay is second. Grulla Morgans are not that common).

I don't have too much experience with breeds, but I never met an Appaloosa I liked.

- I rode a bunch of TBs, never disappointed, but they appear very fragile.
- Icelandics - not fragile at all, great personality and athleticism, but trots like little sewing machines. Little legs, you know.
- My current horse is a QH. I like him a lot, but I don't have broad experience with the breed.

So here's my favorite horse: The soundness and personality of mine, the intrepid mind of an Icie, and the "going" of a TB.

2. Gaited horses (Missouri Fox Trotter if I had to pick a single breed because I haven't had much experience with other gaited breeds).
3. Black has always been my dream horse color (and I finally have one!) but I also love greys and anything with spots.

1. Quarter Horse.
2. Quarter Horse.
3. Zebra Dun (I own, have owned Bay's, Chestnuts, Paints and a Sabino Pinto never owned a Dun go figure)

1. Paso Fino, and second place are Appaloosas--love them
2. A gaited horse with a grand gait--lots of Paso Finos have good gaits but I have ridden lovely TN walkers, foxtrotters, Peruvians, and Rocky Mountains that were just as fun. I once rode an Appaloosa for a couple of months that had a smooth comfortable Indian shuffle--loved it

3. Buckskin, especially a buttermilk buckskin. I've never owned a buckskin, but I love the color, second place black and spotted. I'm a sucker for grays too, but they turn white, which I don't love.
