Extremely proud of my horse!

Today was a busy day for Sav. First, we went to an open horse show and did a couple of classes. She did great. I got lots of compliments, a few people asked if she was for sale, and lots of little girls asked if they could ride her, lol :P She was very steady and surprisingly calmer than the last show, even though none of her buddies were there. She was the only horse I brought. She did really well, but didn't place - which is okay, since I just did it for the exposure.

After the show, some old friends met up with me at a local riding trail. I got there first and went ahead and rode Savanna out, by herself, on her VERY first trail ride away from home. Aside from not wanting to move past some anthills, she did GREAT. Surprisingly well. She walked with a relaxed stride and loose rein. Then when my friends showed up, she did even better. :) Needless to say, she earned a nice hose-down and some rest tonight. I am so proud of my horse. Photos soon!

I posted this in the training section because it's proof that our hard work is paying off. She came to me with innumerable issues, and has turned into such a wonderful, well-mannered, mature mare. :)

That's great to hear. It's nice when you get to feel that way about your horse.

A ride a day keeps the worries away!
