My mare suffered from a case of colic a few weeks back, and lost a lot of weight. I decided to put her on a little hiatus so that she could put weight back on and rest. I am working with her in the roundpen etc so that she doesn't just get lazy or lose any muscle, but we are getting bored and I was curious if anyone has suggestions for new things we could try on the ground. She is completely bombproof both on the ground and under saddle, she lunges w/t/c, Joins Up, trailers/loads, jumps, etc and I can tell that she is losing interest doing the same things all the time...perhaps some games or something? Thanks!!!
I've done the ground poles, not sure how to teach a horse to drive lol...we have drug tarps and logs and everything we could get our hands on, but im thinking that the stepping up would be fun! Ive seen people do it, never thought to try it myself :P That might be interesting haha.
