Thanks, guys.

I think think you're right. It'll be a waste of time, especially since the owners won't put forth any effort, and I won't be getting paid. It's been decided that I won't be working with these horses. I need to focus on my horse, my driving (I got out on the open road for the first time yesterday!), and school.

I'm such a dweeb, so I definitely need to work on my social skills before working with people and their horses. This [coming] summer when I am out of [this year's] school, maybe then I can do an apprenticeship or work at a barn, as I'll be able to drive on my own by then (hopefully). I could also help teach beginner kids how to groom, tack-up, etc... - that may improve my social skills....
