Lightbulb Has anyone ever thought of doing a HF gift Exchange/secret santa?

I'm sure it's been thought of. And I sorta remember a few years back maybe someone mentioning it. It would have to be on the honor system and maybe 18yo+ requirement and long time/visibly active membership (no foals mayhap?) So that there would be a degree of accountability. And it would have to be within a specific country.

I'd be willing to organize a US based one if some folks are interested.

I'm barely outside of the "foals" range, but if this were allowed and I fit the requirements I would absolutely participate, I would love to be able to send a fellow HF member something.

My thought is to make sure people participating are actively "in" the community, so that someone doesn't just submit a form, get their present in the mail, and then disappear from HorseForum entirely and some poor individual didn't get a present but instead got the short end of the stick. @CopperLove You would totally qualify :) you're here all the time.

Sounds fun! I'd be in. I like that this Forum is a place where there's a decent amount of both real world and online connection.

I guess it goes without saying, but if you would be interested in participating, do comment so that there's a bit of a head count.

Bumping this, I'm down to do it with a small number of people, but I think four to five would be a minimum number.

Sounds like a great idea! I can't participate this year (plus I'm in Canada, but that could probably be figured out too) but in the future I'd love to participate too. I think that would be a really cool and fun experience!

I'd do it!! Would there be a price limit though? I have issues with over spending and would need a limit lmao

I think 20-$35 would probably be good, just as something small. I also think that lightly used equipment and homemade would be super cool. It would just be a fun inexpensive thing, and it has to be mailed anyhow, so keeping cost low makes sense around the holidays.
Thoughts?
