Congratulations! Quite a success . . . and you and the horses look wonderful. So much fun!
I have a funny story that you might get a kick out of. My horse Magic was hunter/jumper and she was pretty good. One morning we headed out to a show where it was to be English riding in the morning and Western events in the afternoon.
My trailer got a flat tire, and I discovered the wheel bolts were rusted on. I couldn't change the tire, and even the folks at the mechanic shop couldn't get it loose. Finally, after 3 hours, I got the spare tire on the trailer. I wasn't that far from the showgrounds, so I went anyway.
The English events were all over, and the Western events were just starting. I explained about the tire and the rusted bolts. They looked at my clearly English horse with her neat braids, English tack, and my riding outfit. They didn't expect my elegant, tall, long legged mare would be able to be successful, so they said we could do all the games, if we wanted to.
There were 3 games: barrels, keyhole, and poles, and my horse won all 3 of them. When it was time to give her the championship, the Western riders protested because she had on English tack, braids, and I had on English riding clothes. The management gave us the championship because the fastest time wins. I shrugged and said, "A good horse is a good horse." Same for you!!! Good for you!!!!
