I really enjoy this thread, but I return to work tomorrow, so I will have a harder time keeping up. G'night.

AnitaAnne Don't worry about keeping up. Just join us when you can. I really understand your enjoying the over 40 thread so much. I am the same way. So just chime when you get a chance even if you are not able to read all posts. Have a great day and God bless

That thing about "a mule can't be bred, so why compete?" is a bit ironic considering how heavily dressage is populated with geldings, hee hee haw haw.

You sure about the TB? What about something exotic and usually not done, like crossing with an Andalusian? Although I suppose a well-conformed TB broodmare is more economical to come by...

Ohren is OK, but not quite long and pretentious enough for extra humour. Maybe "Ohrenprinz" or "Madame Wunderohr" - that's not quite right yet either. I'll have to put my thinking cap on... this has so much potential...

The image of a highly trained dressage mule and all its potential has been with my overactive imagination today. You so need to do this! And imagine - beating someone snooty with an expensive Warmblood at piaffe with a mule, ha ha ha! (Or should that be hee-haw!) ...and no reason at all it shouldn't be possible. You just have to find the right animal. It's a brilliant idea. You'd probably even be allowed to compete on one. It's still an equine!

Well, I'm an ex-endurance competition rider these days, but still ride like that on the trails. Other uses for time and money, plus we live quite remote. Re SB, my Sunsmart would probably have been as good as my Arabian mare was, due to his French Trotter breeding (lots of slow-twitch muscle in the mix). You just can't tire this horse. What a shame about respective locations, Julian would probably be a good endurance prospect for someone still.

Mule in dressage, now that sounds super! Go for it, I'll cheer for you! This is the most unconventional dressage I've seen, and I hope you find it entertaining:

Hey, thought I would share this site I found. Aren't these made of the material you get yours in? These look quality made and mighty cheap. When I get a chance I may have to order one or three to see how they look in hand compared to yours.

buy babe magnet, and Ill get carvelli, we can negotiate a two for one deal, They just had a huge Crabbet arabian show here, so dont let the prices scare you off, they just posted those prices for the show. Babe magnet is advertised at 6 and carveli at 3500. needs to get down below 3 for me, I think babe magnet is awsome horse. I'll be honest with you, I hate trotting, never learned how, sold my last horse that trotted and been riding Walkers ever sense. So probably not the best judge of smooth. I may go ride both this week. I think the seller is "motivated". I have a couple anita friends, Is this the anita I rode with in Ivor ?
