Double D Horse Trailers and Gooseneck Trailers For Sale

When I was looking for a 2 horse trailer I found these people. By far the best trailer that I could find with lots of options. The site has LOTs of information so you will have to look around some to help you determine your horses' needs.

I live in the Dominican Republic and importing one via ship and dealing with customs would have cost me double the price for the trailer. It took me 2 years finding ANY trailer down here that I could rebuild. The Double D information was/is very good so I could do what I needed to do to rebuild it.

    Good Luck.

Hey--I loved, loved, loved your post about English bits! It was super informative :) Anyway, just wondering what kind of bit YOU use?

Hi! I read your post about when to stick with a horse that is too much and when to move on--I am currently facing such and I was wondering if I could explain my individual situation and get your advice personally. You seem very level headed and knowledgeable on this topic. Thanks so much! -Hannah

    Hello.

I am a semi-beginner in outdoor photography n recently have taken the job on getting practice with my photography at a barn I ride at.

I understand quite a bit w/ outdoor photography and the lighting but when it comes to indoor photography, I cant seem to get enough light in my pictures. I mainly take pictures of horses going over jumps. It's an indoor arena with very low lighting. Pictures are too dark or too grainy from my iso.

I was told by my coach and the owner I need a strobe flash for (already knew I needed a flash) taking pictures with horses indoors. Mainly because it spooks the horses with any other flash. I was told by another horse photographer that any flash will work.

So my question to you is: what kind of flash should i get for my nikon camera? Without spooking the horses while going over jumps.

*i would be standing about 20 feet away from the horse with my potential new flash.

Allie, I was wondering if you had seen an English pad that has wither relief, is form-fitting, and was no slip. And if a Mullen Mouth rubber bit would be okay for a horse who hasn't had his teeth done in over three years (they're getting done in 3 weeks). Thanks!

Allie. Just a quick question - with the photos of Chinga, I understand his a bit on the forehand in some shots - this is all very new to him. However, I'm wondering if I'm riding too heavy handed.

I was reading your thread about your horse with the wire cut on his hind leg. I have a horse who has done a very similar injury in about the same place. How did you treat the leg and how is he doing now? In our case, the horse is sound at the walk and off at the trot; has a little bit of swelling; the injury occured on 4/10. I soaked it out today with an iodine/water mix, dried the surrounding (non-gashed) area, treated with vetericyn, covered with a nonstick gauze pad, vetwrap and duct tape to reinforce; I also gave him 1g bute. He is able to move about freely in a grassy paddock and is not in a position to argue with other horses. I would greatly appreciate your input!

    Thanks,
    Amy.
