Minis!

Hi everyone! I thought it might be fun for those of us with minis, or even those who are interested in having minis, to have a thread to just share pictures, the funny things minis do, and anything else that might be interesting.
I have a mini named Prince, and my dad has a mini named Lady. They are half brother/sister, and the same age; they will be 9 in the coming spring.

Here's a little about Lady: She has a mostly calm temperament, love children, and has the ability to get fat on air. I bought her as weanling, but after I purchased my Quarter Horse, had to sell her a few years ago. Thankfully, it was my dad who bought her! So I still get to work with her occasionally, and see her every day. She pulls a cart, and can be ridden by children. When I get the chance, we are working towards doing liberty work.

Prince: He is an exact opposite of Lady. He doesn't gain weight at anywhere near the rate of his sister. He is also nervous, and not to be trusted with children, small animals, and most men (weird story...). We work on liberty and doing dressage with a surcingle, long reins, and a dressage whip (as a leg aid replacement). Someday, I'd like to teach him to pull a cart.
The reason he has extreme dislike of men is because of when he was gelded. He didn't go completely out, and a bunch of guys jumped on him to push him down. To this day, he will bite my dad if he thinks he can get away with it. I correct him, but in truth, I really can't blame him...

The one with the green halter is Prince, and the one in pink is Lady.

Oh goody! A place where I can shamelessly post a ton of photos of my little girl Hazel! She's a 2013 brown filly coming in at 32 1/2 inches. She's greenbroke at the moment. She pulls a toboggan/any other scary things I put behind her. She's been lead around with a cart a couple times but is still getting the hang of being comfortable between the shafts of the cart.

My Sis has a mini and he is just the cutest thing, just a great big fuzz ball right now with his winter coat but I just love to watch him when he is feeling good and showing off for us.
She started him in harness a year ago but because of time constraints didn't get much done this last summer but we plan to get back at it this spring.
She would put the harness on him and drive him (with out the buggy) all over the farm and he was so good. He has pulled the cart a few times but still pretty green yet, hopefully this will change when we get better weather in the spring.
I'm no good at posting pictures so can't share this little guy with you.
Greenmeadows likes this.

Pinto is about 4, a rescue. Way overly broke, nothing bothers her, so I do weird things to her, like put tack, saddles, boards, noodles on her. 36in or so. She likes to fly at the gelding when i ride him, pictured.
Silver Black mini is about 2.5 I think, I'll have to look it up, got her from a breeder up the road. She was a bit of a nut, but she's super smart. 35in.
They're basically shadows, lol.

Pinto likes to 'help' out. And when she saw her reflection in the truck the first time, she puffed up to intimidate herself, lol.

Awwww all the minis are SO CUTE! I think of them as live stuffed animals. They're so fluffy & adorable. :)

We have a lot of minis at our barn. Here's one from this past weekend, one of the kids at the barn were grooming her. Her name is Peaches, she's about 25! Super sweet.
