I keep wanting to post pictures of my 3 but every time I try to access my photobucket account it shuts down my internet connection. I'm not going to be happy camper if I end up losing all the pictures that are in it.

And by the way, there hasn't been a mini posted that isn't adorable.

Here's a picture of my favorite mini - his name was Derringer. He belonged to my sister. Sadly, we lost him about a year ago. The picture is of him hanging out with his best bud - a 19h Percheron named Sebastian. Derringer was 29" tall.

Cool

I have a rolly-polly-pudding disguised as a mini.
His name is Ham. He was a breeding stallion before I got him - why any one would want to breed from a long backed, short necked, boxed hooved mini is beyond me. He lost his furry raisins pretty quickly. He was broken to harness but hated humans and being touched. Basically, he was a jerk.
I asked the owner what his name was. He mumbled something I couldn't quite hear but which I was later told was "Danm, I donno" (Great answer huh?)
I got 'Ham' out of this and, as my family and I are firm believers in not changing a horse's name, it stuck....
6 years later he is the perfect children's pony, cleans up at pony club and fun shows, is an amazing jumper, great with young horses and is FAT.
Please excuse the cellulite - he is on a diet >_<

@secuono I do believe this is the best picture I have ever seen!!! I quite literally laughed out loud.

OP... this could get long! Be careful what you ask for. And btw I LOVE the pinto patterns of your minis!

Here's my Miss May, age 4 now.

I bought my first mini last summer and it has been an awesome decision! I bought her after I moved my QH closer to me and I decided he needed a companion, but I have no room for another full sizer. I picked her up from a gal over the mountain from me for fairly cheap, she's not registered or anything. When I brought her home my Gelding wanted nothing to do with her, I feel I've posted this before somewhere, but I'll re-tell here. He stood at his fence and trembled and snorted at her while I walked her to the barn, the closer she got, the farther he backed away. She stood in her stall, waiting for him to come say "Hi".

Then after about a half hour he decided it was ok to come see what was in the barn, but this is as close as he would get for 10 more minutes, and every time she moved, he spooked.

He finally decided she was ok and now they are inseparable.

She's also been very good for my husband. Being a Non-horsey person, he is much more comfortable around her than my big guy, and he is learning a lot about horses and wants more.

I will post more later if that's ok

@secuono Oh wow! That's funny that your mini was in the car! Your pinto sounds like a lot of fun. :)

@xXSweetBreezeXx Hope all goes well with harness training!

@EquineBovine Ham is so cute!

@KLJcowgirl Thank you! That's a neat story with Miss May and you QH. :) And I'd love to see more pics of her!

As agreed... more pics. I would also love to see this thread go on forever with everyone else's little guys update us often.

Miss May is such a goof. Most pictures I get of her look like this:

But sometimes I can get a good head shot:
[IMG][/IMG]

Both her and I have been learning how do drive. My uncle has a cart he said I could use, so hoping to pick that up this spring and get her going with that. She's a champ ground driving.

She kept spooking at the Bus stop, so I made her wait in it.

[IMG][/IMG]

Here she had decided she didn't want to go around the pasture picking up rocks anymore and just flat out quit on me, laid down and happily ate some grass.

I dressed my ponies up for a day before Christmas eve ride around town.

And playing in the snow.

And a picture of her all shaved up and nice... what I am finding crazy about minis is HOW MUCH HAIR THEY GROW!!! It's like having two different horses. One is an elegant, prim, and proper beauty, the other is a fluffy, doofy, cuddly yak.

Ok that is all for now haha I'll give you a break. I just love this little girl it's hard not to over share.

She couldn't reach that spot and it was super itchy. She kept trying to scratch it herself and ended up in great pics instead.
