Colors on a sorrel horse with flax mane and tail.

Hi friends,
Does anyone think a light lavender daycoat would look good on a sorrel horse with flax mane and tail? Any other color suggestions? Thanks, I really need help. Thanks.

Hunter green is my suggestion...

Anything green looks good with a sorrel (who is from an artist's perspective, orange, and green is the complement, or opposite, to orange). Hunter green is nice and safe, can't go wrong with that. But you could also go with lime, spring, sage, kelly . . . I think a flaxen mane/tail is flashy enough that he could rock almost any green. I don't know what kind of look you want.

I wouldn't do lavender though.

Blue, teal, dark gold, any green... but definitely NOT lavender!

Agree with what's been said but I will say it depends on the shade. A reddish chestnut I would not put lavender on at all but a pale almost palomino shade may look good in it. Most chestnuts are pretty red though, and some are REALLY red.

Since I ride horses of various colors, I always fund basic black , with color accents,, depending on horse, a good choice
Of course, I love green, so use that whenever it works!

With a dark-dappled buckskin and a smoky black, all my accessories are either black or green for the buckskin, and black or blue for the black.
