Craig Cameron, hurt?

Just tuned in to RFDTV and Craig Cameron after a long break and saw Craig wearing a back brace and using a cane. Anybody know why? Was he in an accident or have surgery? Hope he's okay.....

If I am reading things right, he had a knee injury that has kept him from competing and is getting older. Can't really find a whole lot on it, sorry OP. Hopefully someone else is better versed at Google than I am. :)

I noticed that too and was wondering the same thing. Tried to Google up some information but couldn't find anything at all.

Awe, I respect him. I know he's aging but this sounds more. Hope he recovers quickly.

My fiancÚ and I just saw him at the Horse Expo in January. He was doing some clinics and said he had a horse rear and fall on him and broke his back. He was riding again so is definitely a tough guy.

Hi everyone. A young green horse fell over on Craig during a clinic. Going up a tough challenge trail out of a creek bottom. It had a wash out an the horse didn't want to cross & tried to crawl out of the trail up over the sides. But the dirt was loose & deep. She bogged down and couldn't move her feet fast enough and ended up tumbling down on Craig. She had to wiggle around to get on her feet. I think that is when something hit his cheek, saddle horn or head head? He had a few different injuries. I think fractured back/discs, collar bone. He's a tough tough man and walked out of the creek back up to round pen. I don't want to gossip about his accident but I was there. And I don't believe it was his fault not the horse's because the dirt was deep and loose. And he just said he should have given her more time training her (I think it was a filly there to be broke) before he attempted to cross that tough wash out. But we all know craig & he has so much faith in all horses! And knows they can do more than they know!

Yes, Kasara2020. On Oct 8, 2014 my daughter and I were on that trail with him when the accident happened EXACTLY how you said. After he walked his mount all the way up first, I proceeded to ride my 3yo filly (the same filly that Craig and Bruce broke the spring before) up the washed-out ravine. After reaching the top, we rode around back to the top of the opposite side of the ravine where we started. I stopped to talk to my daughter and another young lady about not attempting it because it was very dangerous, when Craig passed us up and attempted to take her through it again. She lost her footing in the very loose and soft soil and came over sideways on him hitting his face with her head... He also broke a rib or two along with his collarbone and a disc in his back. It was so scary! But, Praise God, he is back where his heart is! Working with horses! I just purchased two 3yo 6666 Ranch geldings and dropped them at his ranch on Friday April 3, 2015. He was on horseback at the time and went right to work on one of them... Had him haltered within 15 minutes before we left. He is THE BEST to work with my horses.
