I don't have a horse now (changed circumstances) but retirement is about 6 years off. Hope to have one or two then.. one in training... and would love an A fork saddle to ride on.

I have ridden by conservative estimate 50,000 miles on horse back in my life. Mostly English. Spent lots of miles Western on a full dbl rig roping saddle. Would have loved it to be an A Fork...

and yes.. you should ride..
After all. You got the horses. You got the saddles.

Nothing finer than riding through the country on a horse. Nothing finer. Nothing.

I didn't read all the way through the comments, but if you are on facebook, there are a ton of horse for sale groups, and usually one for each state titled "free horses in _____" (whatever state you're in.) I know that the "free horses in washington" page has a ton of people on it who really are horse lovers, and the work really hard to spread the word about free horses they find in ads throughout the state, and help find them homes. Not saying it's like this in every state, but may be worth a shot.
