I completely roached Mr. Big Stuff's mane when his fence mate kept chewing it in spots. Better no mane at all than one that looked like rats had used it for nest material! He looked great.

It all depends on the horse and how you're using him..

I'm not a complete idiot--there are parts missing!

What you have become is the price you paid to get what you used to want.

I am thinking that after I pull it I will let it grow quite long again coz I wanna try a diamond braid.

I love my mare's long mane, but I do need to braid it for riding. I just do a simple french braid down her neck and we're good to go. It's pretty easy because I keep it well conditioned, because it's so long and pretty. :) Every time I do, I regress to my childhood days with my My Little Ponys.
