Here's our "New Horse"

We just started leasing two horses today. Here's my son with "his" horse (do you call a leased horse "yours"?):

.

"Casper" is nothing fancy, just a quarter horse that has been mostly a pasture pet the last few years, but my son is over the moon with excitement.

And I am currently broke from buying all of the gear for two horses at once.

they look so much alike! I mean, you know, how a dog and his owner can come to resemble each other. what a darling pair!

Doesn't need to be fancy to be a good horse He looks like a great horse to start on. If he's been mainly a pasture pet, you can bet he's going to enjoy activity with your son as much as your son enjoys him.

I sure do! I have two leasers, and they're both 'my' boys. I figure, I'm covering every aspect of their care, so there's no reason I can't call them mine!

He's a very handsome boy! But, if you're leasing two, where are the pics of the other one?!

Yay! They're ours then! :)

I didn't even have time to get the other one out and play around yet...we had to run to the store to buy a bunch of stuff. We headed into this lease w/out owning as much as a lead rope or a single brush. Today we're going back! :)

That is what one of my Facebook friends said--they have the same expression! Two young boys, excited to see what happens next, I guess!

That is a really nice looking horse! And boy! Don't you love the shopping? I don't go to the Mall, but I am pretty dangerous around any tack store and big box home improvement stores.

Did the owners not have saddles and bridles?

I think he looks fancy! Nothing plain about that horse. Your son is very cute.
Boys with horses grow into good men & girls know that too.
