Hello, I'm a new member here :)
I've been riding for years on and off since I was about 3. I only got really into riding regularly when I got my horse I have now. I've achieved so much with him
I have a 20yr old thoroughbred called Regii who I've had for about a year now. His racing name was Sir Reginald, he was a bit of a fail. Bowed two tendons on the track and ended up on the truck
He's done alot in his life, used to jump up to 1.20m with previous owners, extensive cross country training, pretty much a school master haha.
When I got him he had been out of work for a few years (he was 18 then, had more life in him) was an absolute demon to ride wouldn't stop taking off but we're able to ride in a neck rope together now - on our good days that is :)
Sadly Regii is out of work right now. I went overseas and he was in the care of someone else and dropped a ton of weight. He's gained more since but I'd rather not ride a skinny old horse and let him recover.
His loss of condition has also made it apparent that he has a prominent hunters bump. I believe he has sacroiliac issues, he has alot of symptoms of it :( Sadly Regii may not be in work again. We were getting good, jumping 80cm at the most. Didnt want to push it with him!
Well thats my ramble of a intro haha! Looking forward to getting to know everyone :)
