Thanks all! I got some more information tonight. They are working with a trainer right now and that trainer will continue working with them, so that's great news. I am meeting them on Sunday and I'll ask a lot of questions. I'll let you know!

Well, we are doing it and here's why...the owner is only charging $100 each per month to lease them (along w/ farrier, vet, etc.). They are her pets and she's thrilled to have someone to ride them and spoil them I think. We can quit at any time, so no big loss if it doesn't work out. My son is SO terribly excited. Is there anything better than your first horse? We've already been to the barn twice today.

Great investigational work! And way to put yourself in the optimal situation.

The $750/month to lease the horse in training, wow, I've got a couple you could lease for say $600.... haha just kiddin'!

Would love to hear an update how it goes
