Congratulations, Your buckskin is a pretty girl.

And don't be silly, you are not too old. I am 58 and just bought my horse last week. She feeds my soul and makes me happy. It's surely never too late in life to be happy :)

Enjoy!

Congrats. She's very pretty. I'm 53 and bought my 1st horse a little over a year ago. My only regret is that I didn't start riding years ago.

I was thinking, how old is this girl`? 10? She seems mature for her age?

40? Well that is not late to get a horse. Hope you are happy to finally have youre own. I am 30 and longing for the day I get my first horse..

Your horse looks like a sweetie!
Not a big deal, but just want to point out that those of us in our 40's aren't baby boomers. My mom is a baby boomer. I'm a Gen Xer. The MTV generation, when MTV still meant music videos and not teen moms. That is all. LOL...

I do know that you are too young! I'm a baby boomer. Just sayin' that there were lots of people that got started at an older age. 40 is young!

Thank you all!! I will have to post her history sometime because there are somethings we are working on together to get to know each other. She is starting to realize that everytime I come out with a halter doesn't mean she is going for an 18 hr ride like her previous owner was doing to her.

Haha...yeah I thought you were going to say you were 80+... 40 isn't old to get a first horse.

She looks like a sweet girl! Congrats!

Gosh she reminds me a lot of a mare I used to ride named hickory. Wish I had been able to buy her when I had the chance :/. Congrats!
