Info on S&K Premier Trailer, LLC

I found a trailer that I really like on S&K Premier Trailer, LLC's website (sktrailerllc.com) and I want to know if this is a reputable dealer. They respond to email but the company phone is an international number that does not work. Any insight would be very helpful.

I did some snooping....
Could not find a "business" listing of that name or address in Hamden, Me.
There was some chatter on a site but the business of that name was in a different state...not good vibes from that one either.
Call your local BBB and ask for their assistance....
Call the number and tell who answers you want to come and see in person a particular trailer, will make arrangements for purchase and taking it with you in person only.
If this place is legit they will be more than willing to give you business hours, a salesperson to speak with when you arrive...
Honestly, some of the prices seem to be to good to be true..some mighty nice newer units for dirt cheap....
Now, would you really pay up front many, many thousands of dollars and not know or see the investment you "think" you are making?

Now I know there are some businesses that do work this way....
They do though have a legit yard you can go to to see the trailer if you wish. Check out what it is you are purchasing and you can take possession of that paid for product not need it shipped...
They also have a "American" phone number for contact in America not just a "foreign" one...

There is a slim chance of this being legit....
Me, I would call the Chamber of Commerce in that town and ask them if there is a business by that name or description of street address then go from there...
It smells slightly fishy to me...

I just found the phone number is for Isle of Man and United Kingdom area....
Not this number though could I find info for...
.....
jmo...

I think they're a total scam. I'm trying to buy a trailer from them and their phone # is international and the phone # they list on EquineHits is not a working #. Also when I googled the address it came up with BangorMe and a different by one digit zip

Hampden is a suburb of Bangor. I ordered a trailer from them, they gave me 24 hours to pay in full prior to it being shipped. They are "open for inspection" one day a month, usually a Thurs. during business hours. They did say that if I failed to pay, I would not be allowed to buy a trailer from them ever. I did NOT pay for my new trailer; told them I would place the money into an escrow account until it was delivered, and never heard from them again. Hubby used a different email address, told them he would come up to their next open house, and asked if someone would be there who could take our money and he could get title and trailer on the spot; they never replied.

I originally found the listing for the trailer I wanted to buy on EquineHits. After suspecting SK Traiiers was a scam, I found 6-8 morse trailers listed by them that had unbelievably low prices and reported them to EquineHits as being fraudulent. I haven't checked to see if the listings were taken down as they promised they would. I guess the old adage of, too good to be true is relevant here.

I spent 3 years shopping on the internet for a horse trailer while I saved my pennies. I was lucky enough to finally fall into a situation where a perfect trailer belonging to an acquaintance became available and I snatched it up.

Trailer scams are getting more common and the best thing I can tell you is; if the price is too good to be true (ie $10K lower than that model goes for) it's probably a scam The one that pops up on Craigslist has an email address embedded iin the photo, no phone number or specific location and the description is extremely vague. It doesn't do any good to try and report it to Craigslist. The ad just reappears with a different email address on it. The price of the trailer is $1500 on a trailer that probably sells for $11K in real life.
There is another one on horsetrailerworld that is outrageously low priced and says it's available within 100 miles of your zip code. Do a test and ask for trailers in a zip code on the other end of the country and that same trailer shows up "available locally" 2000 miles away! I reported that ad and they took it off the website but it reappears a month later.

Super low prices will always catch your eye so if it feels fishy and the payment method plus location are unusual, believe me it probably is!
