This was timely, as I am usually a minimal vax-er. But now I have a guy I will be travelling with a lot more and we live in high mosquito country. Good to know not a lot has changed.

I will be vax-ing for the mosquito-borne illnesses, strangles and tetanus.

Regula was pretty much correct, but left out one of the core vaccines and one of the core vaccines listed isn't core in all of the US

In Texas all horses should be vaccinated against EEE,WEE, VEE, Tetanus, WNV and Rabies. In most of the US VEE is not a core vaccination. VEE is recommended in those states that border Mexico.

Yes and unfortunately most of the mozzie-borne diseases here don't have vaccines. Ross River Virus is the pits...
