Just pay attention and be safe but that self confidence you are building will really help overall. She's less likely to say kick when she goes "oh SHE'S back there!"

I'm glad you have people to work with. Keep that up. It's the best way to learn.

This may help, when I am nervous about doing something with my horses, a tip ive been told on horse forums and real life is to sing to yourself! Another tip is to run around like you are in a race till you are exhausted then get ur horse and do the work you need to do with him/her, the nerves are not there as ur body is too exhausted to think about ur nerves :)
