New to owning my own horsey

Hello my name is Brittani I'm currently in California and I am new to this whole horse owning, I fell in love with this sweet boy who stole my heart with his save me type personality. I've wanted a horse since I was a kid and on my 27th birthday I decided to make it happen now comes all these brand new things I don't know much about but I'm doing my best to get a hang of it. I decided to look up a forum for horses because I need as much knowledge as I can get. So I just wanted to introduce my self and also can't wait to read all the forums :) and advice!

Brittaninoelfreitas, Welcome to the forum. Would love more information about you and your new horse. What breed? How old? Do you keep him at home or board? And of course pictures.

Hi,welcome..I was the same as you...wanted a horse since I was young, sadly never got one!so I decided that I would give my daughter what I never had,she has pestered me for years about wanting a horse so on her 16th birthday we bought lindy for her (pics on my profile if your interested:)we have had her a year and 5 months now and it's been fun but hard too..nothing can prepare you for actually owning a horse, use your common sense and most of all if you don't know what to do Ask! we are all here you help you.
I have had my fair share of demons with this pony but we have overcome lots and a lot of help came from here:)would love to see pics, breed age etc.

y'all are so nice! i feel so welcomed :) i have uploaded some pictures on my albums I'm just not sure how to add them to the forum just yet unless y'all know how and can help me with that :)

Sombrero is a 10 year old Quarter horse who i actually bought thru the ranch i was training at. he is the sweetest guy in the planet. i currently keep him in a stall at the ranch because he needs all four feet so i think its just safer for not only him but other horses to keep him in the stall. he doesn't seem to mind it because i make it a priority to go visit him and let him graze or play the seven games or ride but I'm not going to ride him until i get his shoeing done which I'm scheduled to get tomorrow at 9 which I'm excited about to have nice clean hooves and for him to be sound

i know owning my own horse isn't going to be cupcakes and roses i know its going to be one of those things that test me but these creatures are so beautiful and magically and I'm glad i can finally say i now have one i can call my own :)
