Showing potential?

Hi Guys

You have been so helpful so far in my little pony journey! I have a std shetland who we love so much, and would like to take to some shows. I have never shown before, and the local show is really relaxed and doesnt have a dress code, so perfect place for us to start.
Do you think my little man has potential as a show pony both in-hand and lead rein? I know its difficult from pictures, he responds well to voice commands and is easy to control, but is he pretty enough?

Thank you.

Get someone to teach you to show-groom him and go have a ball.

Only one way to find out and that is to go to shows!

You can enter LR classes and Native Pony classes. Start with local shows and see how it goes.

He's adorable! I'm glad it's you that has to deal with all that white and not me! He's seriously cute!

edited to add: In my neighborhood he would be called a cutie-patootie! LOL

I'm not a complete idiot--there are parts missing!

What you have become is the price you paid to get what you used to want.

He's cute, he's a pony AND he's obedient? Get him in a show ASAP!

Aww thank you for all your lovely comments! He is such a lovely boy, and a massive part of our family.
We are off to watch a show on sunday, but not entering him this time. We will get a feel for it, and enter him in some lead rein and handsome gelding comps next time. You have given me the confidence to go for it! thank you x

That's great! Well, when you enter a show, let us all know how it goes! He's a beautiful little pony, and I'm sure he'll do fantastic! =D
