I am going a bit against the popular opinion here, but IF you can afford expert support in the form of full livery with a professional rider every week to fine tune your horse, you might be able to swing it. Mind you, that is a big "if" and it costs a lot of money. I have seen this exact scenario a couple of times, there was a lot of hand-holding for the newbs but it worked out, albeit at high financial cost.
