Why is it important early mobilization ?

To reduce the chance of the development of fibrous tissue that can happen in edema and restrict range of motion.

Long gone are the days where, if you had an injury or an operation you were confined to bed, now they have you up and walking as soon as possible for the reason Boots said.

Certain injuries do need resting, ligaments for one. The fact you have a torn ligament means rest that part but not the rest of your body.

^& while it's sometimes necessary, & while human treatments have changed, far too many vets still tend to 'proscribe' far too much/long 'stall rest' still...
