That outfit in the second picture is an exact match of what I've seen, not including the eyepatch but yes on the scarf, suspenders, etc etc. lol

Never thought I'd see John Wayne and fashion advice mentioned in the same post. I can't add to what's already been advised. So, I'll just throw in the only fashion advice I can recall from John Wayne.

"And boil that shirt Missy! When the shootin' starts, I want 'em to know there's a woman down here." A line delivered to Katherine Hepburn in the movie "Rooster Cogburn".

Considering that, maybe it's not such a good idea to ask your instructor.

In the rare event I have ridden "western", I just throw half chaps over my fitted boot cuts and let the jeans come out the bottom. One time without and a banging road rash later taught me to not be so concerned with appearance. ;)
