I agree it could be diet thing. My new TWH I put on same diet my QH was on.....but it was a ration balancer grain that uses soy proteins....oh my god you should of heard how much he was farting!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I did a little research and read soy intolerance can cause gas...switched grain and now he seems much more normal with his amount of toots...lol

I wouldn't worry about it, I ride two ponies who fart all the time. One farts excessively when he's jumping its quite funny. The other one farts all the time, when we're out hacking or when she's just being groomed and tacked up. Me and my friend make guesses how many times she'll fart on a hack and then we see whose closest at the end!

We have one horse that toots like crazy. We laugh... as there is nothing else to do. Cant ignore it LOL

I had a donkey who ALWAYS tooted going up hill. We took to calling it his jet propulsion.

I had a colt that would get excited in the pasture and start running, bucking, and kicking. Everytime his feet left the ground, he would let a big one rip. His mom does it too.

This thread made my night. Hahahaha.

I wouldn't be too worried though, unless it will bother you. My filly wasn't too gassy, but she was a pro at the silent-but-deadlies and always waited until I was at her behind, usually when I moved her tail to brush it. It was practically a fart-lever!
