Thanks for the replies. My family was just a little curious because he is so different from the other guy conformationally and Jim I definatly agree a little fat is better than the alternative. One thing that has shown through in the first couple of days with these guys is that they were really well cared for and their previous owner really did put allot of work into them. Though the circumstances in which we got them are heartbreaking are family is really excited to have them.

If horses are papered, then easy to tell, when they aren't? Or papers have been lost in the shuffle, they could be anything at all, pure or not.

I've worked with TB mare, who raced successfully. You would swear she was pure foundation QH, looked it every single way you could. And have seen pure Saddlebreds, and Morgans, and even Arabians appear as QH as all get out.

I'm thinking both of these are QH though, lovely head on the one.

Horses make me a better person.
