Bug Life - Trigger Warning!

Today I saw something funky in the frame of my bedroom door. Upon closer inspection, it appeared there was a jumping spider feasting on the remains of a bug that I had accidentally squished when I closed the bedroom door. When I looked just now, the spider had gone, leaving the deflated bug.

Hands up: Who's checking their bedroom tonight for visitors?

Eeeewwww. I don't do bugs, unless they're pretty and won't hurt me. :'D

One night, I had a flying beetle land on me while I was sleeping. I jumped out of bed and my cat jumped up and grabbed it, then raced off the bed going "crunch, crunch."

Funny, I was contemplating spiders last night too. I didn't think two spiders shared a web, but these two seemed to be coexisting harmoniously. Food was rather plentiful so that must have helped.

I have to say that I quite like this jumping spiders!
I'm not a huge fan of spiders but they're kind of cute and not very big
When we were going into Hartford one day we had one on the outside of the car window that stayed there all the way and then came back home with us!

Just winging it is not a plan

I relate.

(People are fascinating, though. I just don't like talking to them in person. 😉 )

I have a spider in my car that builds a web in the corner of the windscreen. He catches several insects.

As we do not have any venomous spiders here I don't worry about them.

I also had a jumping spider incident yesterday. I was borrowing my mom's car for the day (mine was getting inspected) and after I got in, I noticed the driver's side window had a jumping spider on it. Then noticed two... Then three. I left them alone since jumping spiders are pretty harmless, but I'm still wondering why there were so many jumping spiders on my mom's car? They were large ones too (compared to most other jumping spiders), not the super teeny-tiny microscopic ones.
