^I so wish my kitty would get along with rodents. I'm too frightened to try letting him befriend anything smaller than my rabbit!

Adorable pigs, secuono!! <3
Do you have a favorite? ;)

I do not leave any cat or dog alone with them. Unless it's my LGDs, I will not trust them.
That kitty will attack birds, mice, gerbils and other things. But she is fairly mellow with the piggies.
House dog has barked a pet rabbit to death before, but she is mostly safe with piggies. She may of learned to love them from my first Doberman. He loved cavies more than life itself! They were all HIS babies!!

Anywho.
To answer your Q Zexious, Abbie is my fav! ♡ She is naturally friendly and let's me pet her all over. Husband hates all red eyed animals, but he loves her because of how sweet she is!

#1 is too long of a commitment (they live 10+ years) though I love rabbits dearly. 3 and 4 are expensive and messy, and again are long term commitments. 2, hamsters, however, are a much shorter commitment and don't cost as much to startup! lol. I LOVE all hamsters (with the exception perhaps of chinese) but my favorites are roborovskis, which is a dilemma because I prefer a pet that will sit and cuddle and they aren't known for that.

See, it's between hamsters and a macaw of late (I'm an avid parrot lover and pretty experienced with them through volunteer work. I have an adorable peach faced lovebird). Talk about commitment with a macaw, they live 80-100 years and you have to put them in your will! Guess which pet is in my near future, hamster or macaw? hmmm...

I'll share my favorite rabbit video.

I am yet to have a Robo, they are so very cute though. I prefer the Dwarfs to the Syrians at the moment though. They do their own thing and don't seek attention as much so maybe I'd like robos even more!!

There's a bit of debate whether pigs should still be considered rodents. When I kept them as a child, I didn't think they were rodents!

Right now I am bottle feeding three baby rats that I found at the horse barn, we saw the mother die so knew they were orphans. They are extremely cute and I am struggling with having to release them in several weeks. There are a whole lot of raptors around here, and today it seemed like I saw them flying everywhere, looking for little rats. My husband says we have too many pets to keep three rats because we already have difficulty getting people to watch two cats, a dog, two birds and two horses when we go on vacation. But I'm wondering if they will have the instincts they need to survive after being bottle fed.
Anyway, time to go feed the babies.
I'm not sure you can/ should release hand reared rats, I don't think they can survive. Maybe you should keep them ;)

Aww! :) I love hamsters! They are so cute. I've had about...10 or so (of course not all at the same time) in the past altogether. I hate that they don't live very long, my oldest lived to be over 2. Although it's never long enough is it.
In December I got two guinea pigs though, they're my babies. Here's some pictures.

Maple & Maisie.
They are like inseparable sisters, best friends! <3

Ahh, that sounds familiar.....Maybe that's why my mother let me get two when I was a kid...

Lol, I have a cat who used to love my pet rats. He'd squeeze through their cage door and sleep in there with them. Tbh I'm more surprised that they tolerated him rather than him leaving them alone!

Unfortunately I've developed an allergy to rodents and rabbits. I used to keep rats for years, they are addictive! The last ones I had were naked, but I decided to rehome them to a friend's colony so the last one wouldn't die alone. Because of the allergy I couldn't get more, which sucks because I love rats :(

At the moment we have a Syrian hamster called Beyonce. My boyfriend has to look after her because I'm allergic. I brought her home because she was an escapee at the pet shop and way too old for them to sell, but so adorable! It's really hard to take a picture of a hamster lol, she had an operation to remove a lump from her eyelid about a year ago.

Since everyone is sharing pics of their babies...

Blonde one is named Sadie, the one with black is Autumn. And yes I know their little toenails desperately need clipped.
