I figure I'm going to die either way and would rather get it over with in a few seconds rather than a few minutes.

Silvano won tonight's round. It was good to see him back to form. Rookie Cooper Davis is leading the event.

The Brazilians are taking a beating in injuries. One broken ankle that required immediate surgery on night 1 and 2 were taken to the hospital tonight from landing on their heads. Robson Palermo was one of them and he sure has had a tough year. I hope each of them has a quick and complete recovery.

Think of the scenery in those minutes! The impact would be less than a second!

I am surprised that it is not mandatory for them to wear helmets, I know a lot of them do and most wear body protectors.

There was an interesting TV programme on head injuries in sport. Mostly with your American Football players, it shows that many who suffered several concussions have an earlier onset of dementia and when their brains are examined (after death) it is a particular type of dementia.

With the jump jockeys if they have a concussion then they have a mandatory stand down for seven days and have to be examined by specialist doctors to check if they are deemed fit to ride.

Seems to make sense.

The vests are mandatory, helmets are not. After a concussion they do have to go through some testing before they are cleared to ride.

In last night's cases neither were knocked out and I think they were more worried about neck or spinal injuries. One had a helmet on and one did not.

The injury updates from last night are the one who had the helmet on broke his neck in 2 places and his back but won't require surgery. He will have to wear a halo for a while. The guy with no helmet on bruised his neck and was released from the hospital but is out for the rest of the finals.

JB won the round tonight and clinched his World Title. He'd actually already won before he even rode. Now if Air Time gets a good out tomorrow and wins I'll be a happy camper.

2 knockouts tonight again one with a helmet and one without, both happened when they were pulled down over the bull's head. The guy with the helmet woke up and was able to walk out of the arena with assistance. The guy without the helmet ended up with a broken jaw. I've seen this same kid take some hard knocks and he walks away from them like nothing happened. He is one tough dude so that was one major head butt.

Renato Nunes announced his retirement tonight. I'll miss his backflips and his wild rides.

Cooper Davis won the event title and it was his rookie year. GOOD JOB!

Long John got bucking bull of the year. Air Time wasn't as good on this second out but I still thought they scored him too low.

It was an injury plagued World Finals. I think I started watching in '08 and this is the worse I've seen.
