Roping Picture/Photo Thread

To breath a little more life into this subforum, how about some photos of you or people that you know while they are roping? Please add yours.

These from the Wiley Hicks Jr Memorial Roping (March 2018)
My brother Ben is the heeler in this series. (These are not necessarily in any particular order. Chronologically or otherwise).

Okay, apparently I'm not doing something correctly. The photos are hosted on SmugMug, and I linked the photos using the Image icon (as I've done on all of the internet forums that I have been a member of for years). None of the photos seem to be showing up. Viewing the forum using Chrome browser. Is it just me, or are the photos actually not posting?

A lot of hosting sites won't allow third party hosting any more. Photobucket famously left us all with Kitten Photos in the place of our actual photos.

I'd just upload them here: Go to 'advanced' when you do a post or edit, and manage attachments.

I'll also dig around and see what I have to post. I don't rope, but I have clients and friends who do, and who also have their own roping and/or rodeo arenas.

Thank you for the reply! I loathe Photobucket now. I used them for years, and I even had a paid account, and that finally just got so bad that I stopped using them. I do photography for a hobby, so I purchased a SmugMug account specifically for hosting my photos (that also helps reduce the storage burdens on forum hosts), so I am hoping that SmugMug is not restricting that sort of linking. I own an internet forum (for a different subject matter), but I am using a different hosting platform than HorseForum.com, and my SmugMug links are working there. I'll try uploading a few to the gallery here and see if that helps. I have a lot of photos, and I hate using up a forum host's storage like that when I already have them hosted.

My cousin's daughter. She works on a ranch, ropes almost daily as part of her job. These were from the day she was being taught for the first time, a little over a year ago.

The horse belongs to the ranch she works for. That's Red, and she's brought him to the house before. I think he's 23? And works every day. Sweet, sweet old ranch horse, still has some piss and vinegar him, but his face is just almost roaned out from grey and he's lost his forelock, so he's almost bald. LOL. I just love him.
