My TB cannot keep shoes on his feet. This isn't exactly a surprise to me because I know why they keep coming off. They are getting sucked off in the mud of the pastures.
They are probably getting loose because his hoofwalls...
My pony is barefoot because he hates:evil: the farrier- but that means we can't ride much on the road- which is a big problem because we have no arena or bridleways without roadwork. We've tried hoof hardening supplements but they have failed- any more suggestions?? :think:
I had no luck in convincing the owners to get their horse's feet done by a farrier, so I ended up grabbing my rasp and getting to work. (I haven't learned how to use nippers/clippers) I was able to do his hind feet that day and I'd love some feedback on how I did. Thanks! :D
