I’m starting to wonder is my horse is possibly rabicano or sabino. I’ve noticed white hairs on my horse in his flank, belly and tail area but I always thought they where just white hairs due to age as he’s almost 19 and I’ve only had him for 4 years. On his papers it does say roan in flanks so...
We moved our quarter horse to his (our) new home about a year ago. After the move he lost weight. We have wormed him with usual wormers and have been told by other owners he is just getting old. He never looked like this before. His ribs are visible as well as hip bones. He gets plenty to...
Here is my beautiful, 16.2 hand, Quarter Horse gelding named Hunter! Critique him? He has Zippo Pine Bar in his lines (:
And his beautiful face!
This is Newt, an 8 year old sorrel QH gelding. I'm about to sell him, and I'm just wondering what you guys think of his conformation? And before anyone says it...Yes, I know that he is f.a.t. I've tried getting him slimmed down, but this boy is just a big stocky lug.
Ok, so this summer my gelding Sunny very randomly started getting white marks around his eyes. It started with just one and a few more have popped up since then. He has never had anything like this before and they aren't scars. He is a sorrel 12 y/o gelding, breed unknown. Thanks for any help!

He has a dorsal stripe, so I was wondering if that would make him a dun of some sort?
He also has some weird...
The general consensus is sorrel, but she has a red dorsal stripe.
What do you guys think? Red dun or sorrel? Does a dorsal stripe automatically consider a horse to be a dun? In the summer, she fades out to be a deep gold color. In the winter her coat becomes more of a rich chestnut. Her...

I just bought a chestnut sorrel gelding Sock, 6yrs, and I LOVE him! He's my first and I'm so excited to be his new mommy. Though I'm new to horse ownership, I've been riding and training Western for 13 years (7 gymkhana, 5 pleasure/reining). I'm boarding at an amazing barn in Sunol where...
I have a 6 year old Quarab mare who is in season. I want to breed her. She is a sorrel with no markings at all. I like something with color like a buckskin or appaloosa. What could get me a little bonus in beauty. For example will you get a palomino from a sorrel and perlino? I just need a...
