I Had windows 8 and then 8.1 Both gave me many issues and I was constantly having problems with them.

I have had windows ten for maybe a month or so now and I like it much better. So far I have not had any issues with it - so far, I am pleased with it, other than its stupid spying and such.

I don't know what I was trying to download from Open Office. Googled OO and went from there. Free, no asking for money and it's now downloaded.

Well, I had windows 7 and I liked it a lot. I guess I believed that 10 was going to be super amazing ... even better!!!! My mistake. Very foolish. I could have easily just looked at it closely on someone else's computer.
I got DD a chromebook as a "back up" - it is actually pretty neat. I can see where the "drive" is coming from for Microsoft to stay relevant - all around. Some ms office apps, for example, on a chromebook or the like have limitations that you won't notice until you need a specific capability. But, I really doubt that is going to save ms from competition. Race on. Around and around it goes.

There is just as much horse sense as ever, but the horses have most of it.

From what I understand (at least what the owner of the hotel I run told me), Windows 7 and 8 are going the way of XP and will eventually not be supported anymore, so everyone will HAVE to upgrade to 10.

Do not tell me I can't...because I will show you that I can.

Right now, no one knows what 10 will cost? What's the game plan - get 10, then later pay up or your computer will mal function?

there are articles that tell you what to turn off to limit some of the spying.
do a search as they will show up.

Guess who has Windows 10? The download image had popped up on the screen. At the same time the cat jumped into my lap, onto the keyboard on her way to the windowsill. 12hrs to download. Try as I may I could find no info on how to stop it. I'll soon find out how it works.

Ouch. Hope it works great! There is an option to "roll back", but many people have problems getting it to actually work. Good luck.

So far I am just not a fan. Hate to say it, but for me Windows 10 is a new coat of paint over rust. It looks good for now, but the awful mess starts to bleed through as you try to use it.

One thing I've learned so far is pictures are stored in two places, some in the 7 version and another bunch in the 10. To put one on Kiji I had to transfer the pic from 10 to 7, then was able to post it.

OK, I do not like the MSN news feed on 10. It shows too much violence. Any idea how to change or get rid of it. I was quite fond of the old google page that didn't show anything. I haven't figured out if I can change it or how, so I'm begging.
