Mental health professional and Equine Specialist

Hi I'm at the very beginning of my career and I'm looking into all of my options and what each entails. I have experience and a strong interest in both therapeutic riding and psychotherapy. I was wondering if there was anyone who fulfilled both the mental health professional and the equine specialist roles in the EAGALA certification (or any other program). Is this a thing? Or do your have to do either one or the other?

I believe there is an "Equine Assisted Psychotherapy" path, though I am not certain of what cert program oversees it. I have a friend who is doing just that, with delinquent youth and recovering addicts. Very neat path and I hope you find just the right career niche.

I don't meet any of these qualifications, but think they are neat programs.

Good luck!
