Peer reviewed research on equine assisted therapy

I thought it might be nice for people to share research studies that evaluate the benefits of equine assisted therapy. A collection of resources like this might be helpful for those writing grants, setting up programs, recruiting riders with specific types of disabilities, etc.

Today I came across a new study out of U of Washington showing a reduction in adolescent stress hormones for those who participated in equine activities: WSU Researchers Sift Spit For Evidence That Therapeutic Horse Programs Work | KPLU News for Seattle and the Northwest

I don't have a copy of the research paper, but expect it probably could be found via Google scholar or the university website.

Anyone else have studies to add?
