I've had my gelding for four years now and he has always played with the bit. When I got him he was green broke (he was 7) so I kinda of let it go for a while to see if he would get out of the habbit with training. he hasn't and it si very annoying. i know that some mild playing with the bit is ok but he constantly plays with it, pulls on it etc. I've done flexing exercises with him, i'm light with my hands, i've tried a varity of bits including ones with rollers, copper mouth peices and coppper rollers, adjusting the placement of the bit in his mouth etc but he still plays with it. He does not play with it when he is working, just when we are standing still. Oh, and I ride western, if that helps in any way.

thanks!

^^Maybe even a couple of days (checking of course for soreness!), but let him eat with it, drink with it, and sleep with it, and let him learn by himself how he should hold it.
