My 5 acre farmette here in VA runs me about $520 a year in property taxes.

If you qualify to be designated as a farm here in CT it reduces your taxes by a lot but just keeping horses doesn't do that

The town of Putnam, CT has the lowest Tax Rate (Mill Rate) in the state of CT. But CT is probably one of the highest tax rates in the nations!
